PROJECT CONSULTATION
ISSUING THE BUILDING APPROVAL
We work with you to find the fastest building approval process to suit your needs. Whether it’s a Construction Certificate for an existing DA or liaising with you to achieve Complying Development, our friendly team is here to help and find a solution that works.

At this stage, we can also identify any potential Building Code compliance issues that may need to be addressed.
We have fast turnaround times for Construction and Complying Development Certificates. In NSW, all new applications are made through the NSW Planning Portal. We're here to help you navigate this process and issue your approval quickly.

THE ROLE OF THE PRINCIPAL CERTIFIER (PC)
Once your building approval has been issued, you can nominate or “Appoint” your chosen certifier to undertake the role of Principal Certifier. This is a separate application through the NSW Planning Portal and allows Residential Private Certifiers to perform the “Critical Stage Inspections for Building Work” as outlined in the legislation.

We work closely with you throughout the project to ensure the conditions of the building approval and DA (where applicable), as well as the requirements of the Building Code, are met.
ISSUING THE OCCUPATION CERTIFICATE
The final stage for any building project is obtaining your Occupation Certificate (OC). All applications for an Occupation Certificate are now made through the NSW Planning Portal.
At Residential Private Certifiers, we understand the importance of issuing the OC as quickly and smoothly as possible, as building and sales contracts, as well as final progress payments, often depend on it.
Our building approval, whether it be a Construction Certificate or a Complying Development Certificate, includes all the installation/final certificates you need to provide us to obtain your Occupation Certificate. This ensures there are no hidden surprises at the end of a project, as all certification requirements are identified and laid out from day one.
